Our 50' banca is well outfitted, comfortable and quite! Capable of eight divers. This is a great island-hopping platform as well.
Feel the need for speed? Request Speedy Marlin - a 28' purpose-built dive boat for up to eight divers. It's a great alternative to the banca if you're in a hurry.
Driftwood Watersports is proud to offer world-class diving in a personalized environment. We can accommodate 1-8 divers.. Both our dive boats are big and comfortable .Prices are quoted using the dive banca Driftwood II - a quiet and smooth 50' banca. Alternatively, we offer Speedy Marling - a 28' dive boat which substantially reduces travel times to dive sites. It costs a little more, but is still very reasonable.
Feel free to leave your equipment at home. We have excellent quality gear, including balanced regulators. All equipment is new as of 2010.
One-day, 2-dive packages:
One day, 2 dive packages are organized according to experience level and proximity of dive sites. Here are the recommendations for your first dive day.
- Advanced: Blue Cathedral followed by Caves.
- Open Water (Experienced): Shark Point followed by Memon.
- Open Water (Novice or refresher): Dapa channel, followed by Dako formation.
- Introductory: 2-3hours instruction followed by Bird Island.
- Dive fee: php2400/person with a flat rate boat charge of php3500.
- Third dive: php1000/person.
- Upgrade to the fast-craft for php2000.
Packages include all gear, dive guide, snacks and drinks and transport.
Conditions and Safety: We are a dive club - not affiliated with any of the big dive organizations. With that said, all facets of our dives are conducted in a completely professional, yet relaxed manner. Dive with the confidence that thousands of hours of dive experience will be dedicated to making your experience memorable (in a good way)and safe.
Specific hazards are almost non-existent. Local fisherman use nets on a daily basis and there is a risk of entanglement by a lost net, so be observant. Most sites have very little current, while others can experience 5-6knots during a spring tide. In any event, we are familiar with currents and potential hazards and will plan dives accordingly.
No dive-centric medical facilities exist in the region, so dive profiles will be conservative.
Dive Package Deals
4-night/8 Dive package: Arrive Monday around noon for lunch. We'll get in one orientation dive that afternoon and two dives each additional day that will be tailored to local conditions and your wishes. We will also squeeze in a night dive. Fly out to Cebu on Friday around noon. (php7500/person. Additional flat-rate boat fee: php10,000).
3 night/5 dive package: Same as above, but you'll be arriving on Friday and leaving on Monday. (php4500/person. Additional boat fee: php7000).
