Siargao islands
Siargao Island offers truly world-class diving. That sound like quite a boast, but we think you will agree when you experience 40+ meters visibility in some of the cleanest water in the world. Our reefs are healthy, abundant and varied. Water temperature hovers around '29C ("84F) at the surface making for a very comfortable dive without wetsuit.
Sites vary from beginner to advanced in 10 to 40+ meters. Other than a couple of intrepid explorers, our area remain largely unexplored by scuba. You can even choose to explore a new site with us if you choose. We've marked dozens of sites that haven't been explored yet!
Siargao Island Area
Blue Cathedral – Wow!, is the first word uttered by everyone after the ascent. Cathedral is an extraordinary dive site outside of the famous Cloud 9 surf spot. The dive begins at about 20 meters (60'), winding through a crevasse and caves that spills into another world at 40 meters (130'). The dive culminates with an chamber ascent. It's a relatively short dive :35, but one which you will remember for the rest of your life. [Intermediate-Advanced (30-40+meters)]. Near Caves.
Caves - On the way back from a dive, we got curious about this formation. That looks like it was a lot bigger at one time and we were in deep blue water at this spot. So we grabbed what was left of our air and jumped in. If you can only do one dive while you are here, this is it. [Intermediate-Advanced (10-40meters)]. Near Blue Cathedral.
Dako Formation – A fun dive for any certified diver. Dako formation is a large intricate reef with a good variety of fish, coral and even some small caves. [Beginner (5-20 meters)].Near Pansukien.
South of Naked – Offering a variety shallow reef with lots of stucture. This is a Black-tip hangout, but the sharks are very shy. A perfect place to take the family, because there is something for everyone, even shell collectiing on Naked Island - about 200 meters from the dive site. Near Dako. [Introductory-Beginner (5 meters).
Dapa Channel – A testement to the health of the area. Dapa Channel is a large, healthy coral reef across from the town of Dapa. Designated as a sanctuary, this big reef sports a large variety of coral reef criters. [All levels (5-20 meters)]
Other Areas
Shark Point – Non-divers can have a blast snorkeling close by, while divers can explore some of the more interesting reefs, including coral terrace. Blacktip sharks call this area home. [Beginner-Intermediate (10-25 meters)]. Near Memon.
Memon Island – Right around the corner from Shark Point is Memon Island. In this case, the entire island offers excellent diving. Attractions are so numerous that we've yet to make it all the way around the reefs. Pease help us finish exploring! [Beginner-Advanced (10-30 meters)]. Near Shark Point.
Bocas Grande Island – Another largely unexplored (by scuba) coastline in the area, Bocas is simply astounding it's intricacy. For protected diving, natural lagoons seem to be around every corner and shear cliffs meet turquoise water, then flow into very healthy reefs. This is an all day or overnight trip.
Corridor Island – One of the local fish sanctuaries where net fishing is not allowed. Corridor Island has excellent diving on all sides – again offering something for all skill and experience levels.
What Else? - The unspoiled coast of our islands, coupled with extraordinary visibility offer limitless dive potential. Experienced divers may want to request a dive expedition to explore the many new sites waiting to be discovered.
